How to Choose a Gift

Choosing a gift for someone interested in fly fishing can be difficult - but not here at Anglers' Bookshelf! When in doubt, calendars and coffee table books make excellent gifts. If the person you know has a particular interest, such as saltwater fly fishing, there are a few things to consider. The first is the year of publication. Fly fishing technique and tackle changes throughout the years, so choose a title with a recent date of publication if possible. Many titles are discounted, so you may also wish to purchase a discounted title. Finally, it sometimes is possible to judge a book by its cover. A classy, colorful cover is often indicative of the level of attention to detail given to the text, photography and illustrations held within.
